These days the garden at Plaza Central has been busy. There are large groups of butterflies (yellow, orange, and a mix of these colors with black) around the peacock flower bushes (Caesalpinia pulcherrima) close to the fountain.
Also, especially during the mornings, there are hummingbirds coming to feed on the nectar from the firecracker flowers (Russelia equisetiformis) in the corridor. Hummingbirds are high energy consumers, so they need to visit around 3000 flowers daily. The firecracker plant can have more than 100 flowers in one branch only, so its a perfect match.
