The Daily: What to do in Costa Rica During Green Season? A Look Ahead At the Week
Yesterday, we talked a little bit about the changes that will be coming in the latter portion of green season, but as we look ahead at the next week there’s really not much change to the schedule. This is something that can be hard to grasp at first for newer travelers to the country, but here in Costa Rica life goes on with the same energy verve regardless of what the weather is like.
As we reach this part of the year, some people can shy away from visiting Guanacaste, which is understandable on a surface level. One of the draws for the country is the allure of the outdoors, and in other parts of the world the rain might put a damper on these activities.
But any tico can tell you that even in the heart of green season there’s still quite a bit of sun in Guanacaste, and even when it does rain, life goes on. Whether it’s surfing, HIIT, outdoor yoga, fishing, hiking, kayaking, or any other activity, you’ll see beaches, trails, and waves just about as full when the rain’s falling.
A shame that some visitors miss out on one of the many beautiful phases of the Guanacaste seasons as a result.
For the most part, activities in Las Catalinas continue rain or shine, with light morning mists or brief afternoon showers offering interesting changes to the routine. Expect the same this week with morning fitness operating on the usual schedule. There will be Swim Sessions by ConnectOcean every day at 6:15am in the Beach Club, and Morning HIIT Monday and Wednesday at 7am on the beachfront.
For morning yoga sessions on the beachfront there will be a slight adjustment to schedule. Starting this week, there will be one session held on Wednesday at 8:30am and one session held on Friday at 7:30am.
There are also two big events for friends and family this week, with a pop-up dinner on Tuesday at 6pm in the Beach Club and Playa Danta Movie Night on Friday at 6:30pm. This week, the pop-up theme will be A Journey Around South America, tracing travels through Bolivian, Brazilian, Argentinian, and Peruvian cuisine with a diverse blend of flavors that showcase the culinary cultures of each nation. Reservations can fill up for these events, so make sure to save a spot at the link just above.
Have a great week.
