In this Daily -- A Look at Copper & Stone
Warm weather today, with temperatures quickly rising throughout the morning and peaking in the low 90s around lunchtime, before some cloud cover and the Costa Rican ocean breeze pick up in the afternoon, leading to some excellent conditions around sunset.
As part of continuing to grow and improve as part of the Las Catalinas community, Copper & Stone is having an inventory day and will be closing a bit early today (at 5pm), but it's as good a day as any to take a look at how the store has quickly integrated into the rhythms of life around here.
It's interesting: when new things arrive in Las Catalinas, it quickly becomes hard to remember a time when they didn't exist, and Copper & Stone is the same. There's a comfortable mix of new and familiar faces around pretty much every time of the day -- whether it's for morning smoothies, stopping over for a sandwich around lunchtime, chatting on the couches in the afternoon, or picking up an excellent bottle of wine from the Cava before an evening around town -- that makes you marvel at how quickly something relatively new can become so well integrated into town.
It's been the same with Plaza Danta and the arrival of the Santarena Hotel and Ponciana, as a few other recent examples, where the natural flow of people in and out feels instinctive and right, like town was just waiting for these new places to exist, and we didn't know it yet.
Looking forward to seeing what exciting new pieces of town we didn't know we'd love are coming next.
Upcoming Event Spotlight
Getting very excited for "A Journey Around South America", which is taking place tonight at the Beach Club! This special dinner features a blend of Chilean, Brazilian, Argentinian, and Bolivian dishes in the breezy summer air. Very excited for the main course, the Argentinian-Style Asado, a seasonal selection of meat absolutely packed with traditional flavors.
