In this Daily -- A Brilliant Way to Start the Week
Bright and sunny this morning, with temperatures reaching a high of around 90 around noon before cooling off for the evening, with some cloud cover and an ocean breeze coming in around 3pm and leaving the weather excellent for the Barrio Barbecue this evening.
And that's the big event for today, a low tide beach barbecue out on Playa Danta with fresh veggies, rice, meats, and seafoods all done over the open fire. It's a great way to share stories with some friends old and new, all while enjoying the beautiful conditions out by the sea.
Elsewhere this week, we've got an interesting set of activities ahead of us as we wrap up April and march on into May. Monday and Wednesday will bring the usual HIIT training in the mornings, with Tuesday night offering "A Journey Around South America" in another Pop Up dinner from Alma Viajera.
Also on Wednesday, and continuing on throughout the month, there will be a special menu provided during Champions League games, an excellent way to celebrate the culmination of one of football's premier competitions.
The week will wrap up with Saturday Gin & Tonics at Santarena and Sunday Brunch at Ponciana, a pair of town favorites.
May also marks the official start of the green season, which corresponds with the arrival of the rains and the sudden springing to life of greenery all across town. You can see a few trees already coming back to life in anticipation, scattered green across the landscape marking the earliest signs of the coming rains, and with the strong, dry trade winds from the north settling down there should start to be a bit more variance in the weather.
The changing of the seasons is always an exciting time to be in town, looking forward to the changes to come!
