In this Daily -- Manta Rays in the Area
Great morning conditions to be out in the water, and great afternoon conditions to be out on the trails the afternoon and evening. The light offshore breeze and sunny skies will be great for visibility, and with water temperature excellent it'll be easy to enjoy our cove all morning. With the onshore breeze kicking in around noon, air temp will cool off, leaving us in the low 80s around sunset.
Just got a report from the crew down at ConnectOcean that Manta Rays are still poking through the area, which is pretty interesting considering they usually finish their migrations through Costa Rican seas around early April. The ConnectOcean crew has been hot on the case, using their laser photogrammetry and underwater photography rigs to tracks all of the gentle giants they spot while out diving, and if you're interested in seeing these near 7m (20ft!) underwater angels making their migrations, your best chance between now and December will be in the next few days.
We've also just published a blog about some of the best Pacific Coast Costa Rican ocean expeditions out there, with appearances by our friends at ConnectOcean, the Osa Peninsula, and Cocos Island. Check it out here.
