Balancing Development and Conservation: Read More in Our August Blog

Have you ever wondered how a place like Las Catalinas can grow while protecting the land around it?  Every month, we publish a new blog on our website and this past August’s edition centered around the  question: "Development and conservation: Can they coexist?"

It takes a closer look at the choices that have shaped our development. A story about doing things differently, where respect for the original ecosystem came first.

You’ll read about how water is treated and reused to care for the gardens and trails, how rainwater is returned to the earth through natural recharge systems, and how a dedicated fire brigade has kept the forest safe for over 14 years. It also shares the story of our Agroforestry Team, one of the first teams created in Town, whose daily work keeps this land healthy and resilient.

At its core, this blog is about conservation, but also about the integrity and transparency that come with it, in recognition of the responsibility of building around gems like Playa Danta and Playa Dantita. If you’re curious, you can read the full blog clicking here.
