They were invited by the Comité de Bandera Azul Ecológica from Playa Potrero (the Blue Flag Ecological Program) to join a beach cleanup along the shore yesterday.
A fun fact is that the Bandera Azul Committee from Playa Potrero was originally started by Las Catalinas Environmental Department back in 2010, and it continues to operate to this day. That’s why this was such a special day for the Environmental Department and the Agroforestry Team. It was especially meaningful for them to take part in an initiative they helped start years ago.
They collected waste with care and enthusiasm, feeling honored to contribute to the community and continue supporting Playa Potrero’s Bandera Azul status.
