With local schools currently enjoying their mid-year vacation, several commercial partners around Town have been creating special activities for children and families to enjoy during these sunny July days.
Last week, Coraline Fine Wines and Chocolate welcomed kids and teens for a chocolate tasting designed to be both entertaining and educational. During the experience, the Coraline team introduced the young participants to a slower and more attentive way of tasting chocolate, encouraging them to press each piece gently against the palate and allow it to melt rather than chewing it immediately. This gave them time to notice the different flavors, textures, and notes found in each variety.

After the tasting, every participant received a small art board and paints to create a colorful piece of their own. While the children and teens explored their creativity, their parents stayed nearby, enjoying the conversation, learning a little from the tasting demonstration, and, in some cases, sampling a glass of wine inside Coraline’s cool and welcoming space.

The hour-long activity brought together residents and visitors for a relaxed afternoon that felt enjoyable for every generation. The kids had fun trying something new and expressing themselves through art, while their parents appreciated the opportunity to spend time together and connect with other families in Town.

Coraline plans to continue hosting experiences like this one, with the next tasting scheduled for October 30 at 3:00 pm. More details will be shared as the date approaches, so keep an eye on Coraline’s social media and register your kids and teens early so they do not miss the chance to enjoy this sweet and creative afternoon.
