There are days in Town that feel especially meaningful, not because of one single moment, but because of everything that comes together behind the scenes to make them happen. April 25 was one of those days.
Through the initiative of one of our residents, Adrian Hunt, and with the support of Hubert Morris and the Las Catalinas Security team, Las Catalinas Homeowners, and local businesses including West Cargo, run by Cristina Sibaja, and XTERRA, Town had the opportunity to host a group of kids from the Police Athletic League for a full morning of activities.
From 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, the group moved through different spaces, getting to experience Town in a very active and engaging way. The morning began on the soccer field, where they played together from 8:00 am to 9:45 am, and later a beach clean up at Playa Danta at 10:00 am. The day continued with lunch and even a birthday celebration, adding a joyful touch to the experience.

One of the highlights of the day was the involvement of Luigi, who joined the group to lead a training session. As part of XTERRA’s support, ten participants from the Police Athletic League have been sponsored to take part in the 5.5 km trail run this August. In addition, nearly 50 pairs of running shoes, both new and gently used, were donated to the kids.
During the session, Luigi shared practical tips and guidance to help them prepare for race day, turning the experience into something that goes beyond a single visit. For many of them, this is now a tangible goal to work toward, and a new connection to the trails and to what they are capable of achieving.

Throughout the day, the energy was evident. The kids moved through Town with excitement, fully engaged in each activity, and grateful for the time, attention, and encouragement they received from everyone involved. They also left with new shirts, a small but meaningful reminder of their day here.
This kind of initiative reflects something deeper about life in Town. It shows how residents, teams, and partners can come together to create opportunities that extend beyond our immediate community, contributing to the growth and development of local youth in a thoughtful and intentional way.

It was a day full of movement, learning, and shared experiences, and one that we hope is just the beginning of many more to come.
