A July 4 Cookout Filled with Food, Music, and Family Fun

Last Saturday, July 4, the Commercial Leasing Department hosted the Cookout, bringing around 600 people to Town for a full day of food, music, family activities, and time by the sea.

From late morning, Plaza Mercado began to fill with families, children, residents, visitors, and friends moving through the different activities. The inflatables quickly became one of the highlights of the day, especially the large water bounce with a slide big enough for both kids and adults to enjoy. Nearby, the glitter bar and face painting station also became a favorite stop, adding color, sparkle, and a playful touch to the celebration.

Food was also a central part of the experience, with several commercial businesses offering specials created for the day. Pots & Bowls served a Deluxe Burger with Angus prime choice beef, avocado, cheddar cheese, bacon, fried egg, and fries.

Tamaki joined with BBQ grill specials, featuring different grilled meats, while Papagayo Brew House offered a distinctive selection of BBQ items, including a Wagyu burger, brisket coleslaw, corn, and more. On the other side of Main Street, PintaCafé offered a special beach kit with a tote bag, art materials, and a seasonal drink.

Throughout the day, many people spent time walking by the beach, exploring Town, and enjoying the different food offerings, specials, and open-air moments happening across the area. As the afternoon continued, sparklers brought one of the sweetest moments of the event, with children and adults gathering to enjoy that small sense of wonder they always seem to bring.

Live music by Congatrónica later filled Plaza Mercado with a sound that blended electronic rhythms with tropical energy, creating a lively atmosphere as the event continued into the evening. During the celebration, Town was also treated to one of those colorful rainy season sunsets, adding a beautiful backdrop to a day spent together in community. The Cookout continued until 8 pm, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy the food, music, and festive atmosphere by the sea.

All in all, the Cookout was a lovely way to celebrate July 4 in Town, surrounded by families, food, music, and the simple magic of being together by the sea.

We hope everyone who joined had a wonderful time. For those who could not make it, we hope you can come by and take part in Playdate, the ongoing passport activity happening through August 1. Guests can continue collecting stamps from participating businesses in Town, or request a passport at any participating location and begin filling it out for a chance to win one of three special prizes.
