Paseo del Mar and Mainstreet are full of new visitors, and we’re not talking about the usual daily guests in Town. These tiny, fluttering friends come dressed in vibrant colors, dancing joyfully among the plants and flowers of Las Catalinas.
If you walk along Paseo del Mar, you’ll spot butterflies weaving through the blooming malinche trees, including species like Monarcas and Banded Orange Heliconian Butterflies. Their presence adds movement and life to the quiet rhythm of the path.
Further down, the newly planted flowers along Main Street are already attracting their own winged admirers. Delicate butterflies drawn by color, sun, and the promise of nectar. One of our neighbours took this beautiful video and added:
“Sharing a little moment of Mainstreet magic, the new central planters have officially become the hottest restaurant in town… for butterflies! 🦋”
We invite you to take a slow walk through Town and greet them. If you have young children, bring them along. They might catch the quiet thrill of having a butterfly land on their hand, or simply enjoy the beauty of these gentle visitors as they pass by.
Sometimes, wonder lives in the smallest things.
