CORE has officially closed its chapter in Las Catalinas, leaving a meaningful impact on Town’s community. They opened their doors in 2020, at a moment when COVID was beginning to ease and the community in Town was growing quickly, as we shared in this past Thursday’s edition of The Daily.
CORE offered conditioning sessions, HIIT, yoga, and personal training classes, and their presence added energy and movement during a time of change, and many residents and visitors remember those early days with great affection.

We want to thank CORE and Chak, its owner and founder, for their contribution to our community. They became much more than an outdoor gym, their open space, with its wide view of the Playa Danta and Plaza, Mercado was a place where gym goers became friends and Town began to feel even more united, which helped strengthen the sense of belonging and togetherness in Town.

Although we are sad to see them go, we know new and exciting things are ahead. While CORE will soon open their doors in Tamarindo. Here in Town, we are already planning to use this space during the high season for community events such as concerts and other social activities, which will bring even more life to Plaza Mercado and allow us to create new memories, have fun and make meaningful use of this special place.
