Playdate Saturday on August 1 was already a lively day around Town, with plenty happening at Plaza Rambla, the participation of our commercial partners, and an open house at one of the residences in Building 53. But as part of the cotinuation of the evening, Center of Joy also opened its doors to a particularly special audience.
From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Center of Joy hosted a Kids Movie Night, designed as a cozy experience where children could enjoy a movie alongside others around their age, while giving parents the opportunity to enjoy a little time to themselves knowing their children were being looked after.
The $20 admission included babysitting throughout the movie as well as popcorn, making it an easy and relaxed evening for both children and parents. A total of 12 kids joined the event, gathering in the Center of Joy’s upstairs room, where cushions and soft, comfortable seating helped transform the space into a cozy little cinema.
The movie of the evening was The Wild Robot, and with popcorn in hand, their own blanket and plenty of comfortable spots to settle into, the children were able to enjoy a movie night that felt warm, relaxed, and a little like being at home with friends.
Center of Joy shared that this evening is part of a new initiative to create more experiences that give parents additional opportunities for leisure and downtime, while at the same time offering children their own fun and welcoming activities in Town.
Stay tuned for more evenings like this to come!
